Taking Care of Things

This piece was created for a class assignment where we designed two postcards showcasing our abilities in the area of art we wanted to pursue.

In this artwork, my aim was to explore perspective and lighting, embracing a style characterized by flat, blocky shapes to bring the image to life.

This piece drew its inspiration from the relationship between two characters I’ve developed for my thesis project. Within that narrative, these characters embody the same individual, with the older persona nurturing and guiding the younger counterpart. I do this to demonstrate one healing their inner child.

At this point in the drawing I transferred the piece into Adobe Photoshop to complete it.
